Athletics Fiji received a timely boost yesterday for their preparations of the Pacific Games.
Sun Insurance presented an undisclosed cheque donation to the Sports Minister Filipe Bole and FASANOC's President Vidya Larkhan.
Meanwhile, the youngest squad ever has been named to represent the country at the Pacific Games in New Caledonia in September.
The 25 member team comprises of 21 students most of whom took part in the Coca Cola games this year.
Some of the notable names include: Coca cola Games Blue Ribbon champion Banuve Tabakaucoro, Ratu Tira Narara, Elenoa Sailosi, Sisilia Seavula, Saint Bedes College student Beniamino Maravu and Suva Grammar's Lepani Naivalu.
Four senior athletes make up the rest of the team with the likes of Sireli Naikelekelevesi, Soko Salaqiqi, Litiana Miller and Milika Tuivanuavou.
