Former Athletics Fiji President Albert Miller has advised top athletes in the country to think twice before opting to switch to other sports.

This was after Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro has hinted his plans of playing rugby in the future.

Other top athletes that have switched to rugby include former Pacific Games 400 metres champion Niko Verekauta and Beniamino Maravu.

Miller said there should be a lesson learnt from the past when athletes did not do well when they opted for other sports.

Miller added Athletics Fiji will do whatever it takes to keep Tabakaucoro's interest in athletics.

Meanwhile, Banuve Tabakaucoro is currently preparing for the Melbourne classics which will be held in two months time.
