Athletics Fiji is confident that its current athletes have the ability to do far better than what they achieved in this year’s Pacific Games.
President Albert Miller said the association has plans to improve the current young athletes in the coming years.
Miller added people should not judge their performance just by the Pacific Games.
Athletics won four gold medals in this year’s Pacific games with Banuve Tabakaucoro winning three gold - one from the Blue Ribbon event, 200 meters and anchoring the 4x100 meters relay.
Lesley Copeland added another gold to the medal list.
