The two athletes who will represent Fiji for the first time in the Oceania Games next week are excited to take the tracks.

Marist Brothers High School form six student Zubair Dean who won gold medal in the 1,500 event during the Coca Cola games this year knows competition will not be easy and he is ready to take the challenge.

Queen Victoria School form seven student Emosi Bure said his dream has been fulfilled to represent Fiji. 

He will run in the 800 meters and 4x400 meters event.

Meanwhile, Marist Brothers Form 7 student Roy Ravana who will also participate in the Oceania Games will join the Gold Coast High Performance Unit soon after the Games. 

He will take part in the World Junior Championship in Barcelona in July.

The eleven member Fiji Athletics team will leave for Cairns tomorrow.
 
The Oceania Games will be held from next Wednesday to Friday in Cairns.
