The verdict on the six men involved in the Omkar Road murder and rape trial was handed down late yesterday by the three assessors before Justice Salesi Temo.

The court heard that the three assessors found the former boyfriend of the 22 year old deceased guilty of murder however the assessors found all the six men not guilty of rape.

Justice Salesi Temo is expected to deliver a written judgement next Tuesday at 9.30am.
 
Anesh Ram who was found guilty of murder is remanded at Korovou Prison while the other five accused namely Keshwa Nand, Vikash Chand, Sat Dewan Nair, Binesh Kumar and Anil Singh have been bailed.

The six will return to court next Tuesday.

Justice Temo earlier acquitted the five accused of the murder charge as he found no evidence that they had participated in the murder of the 22 year old deceased on 8th June, 2008.
