People living in flood prone areas are advised to assess the weather situation thoroughly before sending their children to school this morning.
Education Ministry's Acting Permanent Secretary Ram Chandar said in light of the wet weather conditions the situation could change rapidly and parents must make their own judgment on whether to send children to school in flood prone areas.
Chandar adds that the Education officials in all centers are on alert and they will react quickly to ensure the safety of the students.
