The Assemblies of God Church has steadily recorded an increase in membership for the past 20 years with the number expected to increase further.
General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Fiji, Reverend Pita Cili, said since the first census held back in the late 80's their membership has grown from 16,000 to more than 50,000 as of 2006, with more than 400 churches located around the 3 Divisions, which includes various ministries in the Pacific, China, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Rev Cili said during their week long 36th Biennial General Conference, they will be discussing how to help their members who are facing difficult times, especially since they have a policy where they do not give out financial help.
