Nadi Magistrate Sayed Mukhtar Shah handed down his decision to the 4 Asian foreign nationals today, to pay cash fines of $1000 each and a 9 months prison sentence on each count of obtaining goods by false pretence suspended for 3 years.

Magistrate Shah ordered that money should be paid today before they are released by police.

The four were charged after they were allegedly found with several fake visa cards to purchase duty free items from outlets in Suva, Sigatoka and Nadi.

Yesterday the 4 pleaded guilty to nine counts of obtaining goods by false pretence.

Police said several other individuals are also believed to be involved in the alleged visa card racket and further arrests will be determined soon.
