Defending Coca-Cola Games 3000m champion Ashneel Nand of Tavua College looks set to win another gold this year after winning the men’s 5000m last night at the Fiji Games.

Last year, Nand defied all odds after the flood that devastated the Western Division put him through a hard time during his preparation for the Coke Games.

Nand will take part today in the 1500m where he is expected to face reigning Coke Games champion Epeli Batisila of Natabua High School.

Meanwhile, the Coca-Cola Games will be held next Thursday and Friday at the ANZ Stadium.
