Wallabies utility back Adam Ashley‑Cooper is preparing for a showdown with his club, Bordeaux‑Bègles, as he is set to return to Test action.

Although his club has allowed him to play in Australia's first two matches of the Rugby Championship against New Zealand which also serve as Bledisloe Cup games next week and the 27th of this month, the 32‑year old is set to face a battle between club and country for the tournaments's other fixtures.

Fellow Wallabies Drew Mitchell and Matt Giteau, who are also based in France, have admitted that they make a financial sacrifice when they leave their club, Toulon, and are in the same situation like Ashley‑Cooper.

The Wallabies will host the All Blacks at 10.05pm next Saturday.
