The Parent body of all the Arya schools in the country, The Arya Prathinidhi Sabha of Fiji has welcomed the Interim Education Ministers decision to ban mobile fones in school.
Sabha President Kamlesh Arya said they support the decision for educational reason as they believe mobile phones are the biggest disburbance in a child's education.
Arya said if in case of emergency, a student can get in touch with his family members using the school phone.
Arya's comment comes after the Interim Education Minister Filipe Bole earlier this week banned the usage of mobile phones in schools by students.
