The Arya Prathinidhi Sabha of Fiji will be putting a proposal to the Ministry Of Education to review the opening time of all schools in the Central Division.
Sabha president Kamlesh Arya said the review would ease the traffic jam and bring positive changes in the lives of early morning commuters and students.
He said the Sabha's Education Task Force meetings in schools showed that many students reach school quite late due to traffic jams thus missing out on important early morning programs. He said that the Sabha was to work with all the stakeholders to see that a solution is found.
Arya said the Sabha will put the proposal before the teachers union and the Education Ministry at the end of the first school term later this month.
