The World Health Organization has estimated that lives lost due to road accidents will exceed the number of lives lost to cancer and this should be a concern to authorities.

These are the words of Cama Tuiloma the Permanent Secretary for Works and Transport while officially launching the AArriving Safely Sticker Campaign@ this morning, calling on all stakeholders to work together to ensure that Fiji does not lose any more lives on our roads due to carelessness.

Tuiloma said the government is committed to seeing to the safety of all road users, and a testament to that is the amount that government has put aside for road upgrading works.

Tuiloma added the challenge now is to change people=s mindset as they should be aware that the role of road safety does not only belong to the Police, National Road Safety Council or the Government but to every citizen of Fiji.
