Around 500 people, young and old alike joined together this morning in a walk to remember the life of cancer sufferer Tae Kami and the victims of the MV Princess Ashika that sank in Tonga waters a week ago.
Father of Tae, Taholo Kami said the turn out for the walk was great and hopefully people will now know more about cancer and other serious health issues.
University of the South Pacific Student, Asolua Fiu said joining the walk was her way of contributing and remembering Tae Kami and the Ashika victims.
Another participant, Elenoa Waqanibaravi said participating in the event widened her knowledge of cancer and who it affects.
Those who took part walked from Albert Park to Suzuki Park opposite the Pacific Theological College and back.
