Around 170 of Fiji's top cricketers will take part in this year's LICI Cricket Fiji Easter Tournament.

It has been announced that 12 teams have been nominated for the tournament which is one of the highlight's of Cricket Fiji's domestic calendar.

This is a significant increase from the eight sides that participated last year.

Five islands from the Lau group have entered along with a side from Labasa, two Suva-based teams, including defending champions the Suva Warriors, along with two teams made up of players from Nadi and Lautoka.

The tournament begins on Thursday, April 21, with the final to be held on Monday, April 25 at Albert Park.

The tournament also doubles as a selection trial for national squad members and other players looking to impress selectors in the lead up to the international tours later this year.
