The Army Green Side will now be banking on their experienced players to ensure that the Escott Shield remains in their cabinet.
Coach Josaia Tokula after their semifinal win over Police on Friday night, said that one of the weaknesses in the team was the fact that many of the players were new.
He added that the three players, Amanisai Nava, Aseri Buli and Dale Tonawai, who did not play on Friday night will be instrumental in the finals next month.
Tokula said it was noted during the game that they lost a lot of scrum throw-ins as well as line-outs, however with the more experienced players coming in, they will be able to retain the Shield for a third consecutive year.
Apart from the trio, hopes are high that with the likes of Iliavi Satala, Sailosi Nanuku, Jale Lailai who had just returned from Iraq, will be able to retain the last trophy in their cabinet.
Meanwhile, the Navy 15s rugby team is on track to end their 31 year losing streak in the Escott Shield when they meet Army Green in the finals on the 1st of next month.
