A joint effort by police officers from the Southern, Central and Eastern Division led to the arrest of three men who were involved in a robbery at Laucala Beach this morning.
Regional Police Commandar Southern, SSP Manoj Singh confirms that the three were arrested in Waito settlement just past Korovou, Tailevu in the last hour.
The three men allegedly terrorised the staff of Total Service Station based in Laucala Beach and fled in a getaway vehicle with the till containing $500 cash.
Supreme Fuel Managing Director, Rajesh Patel earlier told Fijivillage that the three men armed with pinch bars and iron rods entered the service station and threatened his staff.
SSP Singh says the money was recovered however he refused to divulge more information.
