The Argentina Pampas successfully defended their World Rugby Pacific Challenge title after beating the Telecom Fiji Warriors 17‑9 in the final last night.
The Pampas trailed the Warriors 9‑7 at halftime before Argentina came back strongly in the second half and scored two tries.
Pampas Captain Santiago Iglesias said the final was tightly contested and he saluted his players for coming back in the second half and playing until the final whistle.
Warriors captain Nemani Nagusa said he is happy with the way they played despite the loss.
Nagusa added it was a tough game and they played their hearts out for the late Iosefo Bele Tabalala.
In other matches, Tonga A beat Junior Japan 43-23 while Canada A beat Samoa A 28-26.
