The Labour Ministry's Disputes Committee has decided to refer the dispute on the back pay restoration filed by some trade unions to the Permanent Arbitrator.
Committee Chairman, Vimlesh Maharaj told Fijivillage News that both parties have different views on the matter and he could not make a firm decision and refer this dispute to Arbitration.
Meanwhile, Fijian Teachers Association, General Secretary, Maika Namudu has welcomed the decision by the Labour Ministry and hopes the Arbitrator will make a decision in their favour.
The Public Service Commission has decided to restore another 2% of civil servants pay next month.
