The National Disaster Management Office has today revealed that all the Divisional Commissioners have been given the approval to use whatever money allocated to them in this year’s budget to survey the areas badly hit by the recent floods.
Principal DISMAC officer Patiliai Dobui said no specific funds have been allocated to them to survey the areas.
According to Dobui the number of people at the evacuation centres is a little over 700 and two Primary Schools in Wainibuka, the Nailega District and the Nasautoka District schools are still used as evacuation centres.
