All eyes turn to the three Judges of the Fiji Court of Appeal who will this afternoon at 3pm deliver their ruling in the Qarase vs Bainimarama case.

The appeal hearing ran for three days and the three Judges Justice Randall Powell, Justice Ian Lloyd and Justice Francis Douglas will today rule on whether the decision of the High Court in October last year is valid or not.

The three judges have been asked to rule on whether the President has reserved and prerogative powers to appoint ministers, make promulgations and validate the dissolution of the SDL led parliament in December 2006.

They have also been asked to make declarations in relation to the President to take steps within the confines of the 1997 Constitution to appoint a Caretaker Prime Minister, dissolve parliament and call for elections.

The ruling will be handed down at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
