The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) is now considering to appeal against Magistrate Anjela Wati's ruling that Suva lawyer and Fiji Sports Council chairman Rajendra Chaudhry and Losalini Waqausa had no case to answer.
FICAC spokesperson Maraia Vavaitamana confirmed their lawyers are now working on it and more details will be revealed soon.
Chaudhry and Waqausa were earlier charged with obstructing a FICAC officer in the course of her duties, however, after an application, Magistrate Wati ruled that the two had no case to answer and discharged the case. At that time, FICAC had told Fijivillage that they will not appeal the ruling.
