Any team can win Dubai 7s-Tanivula
Tanivula's team last year finished above New Zealand and England with wins at Hong Kong and Edinburgh which he believes proved a welcome recovery for the side who had struggled at the start of the season.
With a week to go Tanivula hopes that in this weekends Sri Lankan 7s he will be able to assess some areas that need to be improved on before the Dubai tournament next week.
Fiji head Pool B in the Dubau Sevens with Samoa, Scotland and Zimbabwe, South Africa is in Pool A with Wales, Australia, and the Arabian Gulf, England head Pool C with Kenya, USA and Russia and New Zealand head Pool D with Argentina, Portugal and France.
Meanwhile, three Fijian players have been named by New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens for the opening IRB 7's series in Dubai next weekend.
Tietjens has included, Lote Raikabula, Tomasi Cama Jnr and Waikato winger Savenaca Tokula in his final 12 man squad.
The side will be once again led by DJ Forbes and still has the experienced players like Zar Lawrence and Kurt Baker in the line-up.
New Zealand finished on the 3rd spot in the final IRB 7's points tally this season.
In Dubai the side is in Pool D with Argentina, Portugal and France.
The Dubai 7s kicks off next Friday December 4th.
