With the National Mass Drug Administration program of the Anti-filarial program officially starting today, the Health Ministry is targeting to get at least 85% coverage.
Acting permanent secretary for health Doctor Eloni Tora said for two weeks, all health officials have been told to concentrate efforts on ensuring the distribution of drugs.
Meanwhile, director for communicable diseases Dr Eric Rafai said their target is to bring the prevalence of the disease to less than 1%.
