Fiji Trades Union Congress general secretary Felix Anthony claimed that he was beaten up in custody more than a year ago however he has not filed a complaint with the Police.
This is Anthony’s response when we questioned him about the claims overseas that he and other union officials have been detained and beaten up in custody.
Police said Anthony is more than welcome to lodge a complaint with them in relation to his allegations that some union officials have been beaten up.
Anthony welcomed this however he claimed that there are other cases.
Police Director Operations Rusiate Tudravu said they will investigate the matter thoroughly if a complaint is lodged.
