Another milestone for the Methodist Church of Fiji today as it opened another Church for its Indian Circuit called the Reverend Ramsey Deoki Memorial Church in Nasinu.
Divisional Superintendent for the Indian Division, Reverend William Lucas said that the church is named after Rev Deoki who was the first Indian to be ordained as a Methodist Church Minister in Fiji.
Reverend Lucas adds the Methodist Church, which is the parent body has shown great support for the construction of the new church.
Rev Lucas adds that 12 of the late Rev Deoki's family flew in from New Zealand to witness this auspicious occasion.
Over 40 families worship in at church which has English Service at 8am on Sunday while the Hindi Service is at 10am.
