The last Sunday of 2007 sees another life lost to our roads.
Police are investigating the death of a man in his late 20s, early this morning at 6.45 at the Rewa Bridge, after the FEA truck he was driving tumbled over the side of the bridge.
The truck was travelling from Nausori to Suva when it is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle forcing it over the bridge, crashing and killing him instantly.
There was no one else in the vehicle with him.
Police are currently at the scene of the accident trying to establish whether or not the driver was under the influence of alcohol when he was behind the wheel.
This is the first road fatality on the new Rewa Bridge.
