Another Tabakaucoro on the spotlight
Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro's younger brother, Josefa Tabakaucoro stole the show yesterday at the TFL National Stadium after winning the Under-12 100 meters final and also won gold in the 4 by 100 meters relay for his Suva team.
Tabakaucoro had to settle for silver in the 200 meters race on Friday in which he competed for the first time.
Tabakaucoro said there is a lot more left for him to achieve but he is happy on his performance so far.
Meanwhile, after successfully defending the FMF Chow Games for the record seventh straight year in a row, the capital city brigade will build on where they left off yesterday and try to defend their title next year.
Suva coach Lasarusa Senibale said his team will have to do far more better than what they did this year as the Primary schools athletics meet is getting more competitive.
In the boys division, Suva grabbed 11 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze followed by NadrogaNavosa with 8 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze while in third place was Kadavu with 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
In the girls division, Suva scooped 15 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze and in second place was Nadi who won 6 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze while Nadroga/Navosa grabbed 5 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze to book third spot.
