The Bureau of Statistics has revealed that they need more time to prepare the final statistics on the Population Census.

Census Director Epeli Waqavonovono confirmed they are hoping to complete their work in a month's time, as they had previously indicated the release of their report by the end of this month.

He said there are some delays in processing.

Constituency Boundaries Commission Chairman, Suresh Chandra had indicated earlier that the Commission will await the final report on the population census before deciding on the proposed changes in the boundaries.

Meanwhile, newly appointed Supervisor of Elections, Felicity Heffernan has officially resumed her duties this morning.

When contacted, her office said she was busy in series of meetings this week.
