Another Escapee Recaptured
Assistant police spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita confirmed that Viliame Gauna was arrested at Wailea Settlement at around 1pm today.
Another prisoner, 27 year old Sitiveni Baleisomosomo was also arrested earlier today while 20 year old Tevita Vakatalai of Nadonumai is still on the run.
Another escapee Apete Kula was arrested at a nightclub on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, two people have been taken in for questioning for harbouring prisoners and are being questioned by Nabua Police.
Police are also questioning one of the escapees in relation to the robbery on Saturday at the Total Service Station in Raiwaqa.
Five masked men armed with cane knives and pinch bars walked into the service station located about 100 metres away from the Raiwaqa Police Post and threatened the cashier before taking $800 cash and other items.
Also police are appealing to members of the public for information in locating the driver of a fatal hit and run accident in Lovu, Lautoka, last night.
Corporal Tevita said police still do not have the identity of the deceased.
So far it has only been established that the white car was last seen heading towards Ba.
