A 68 year old taxi proprietor of Tavua has died after the vehicle he was driving collided head on with a Pajero driven by a 23 year old school teacher of Tavua.

Divisional Traffic Officer Western, ASP Richard Raju has confirmed the 23 year old who was driving the Pajero was allegedly speeding, and as a result he was unable to negotiate a bend in Loloma, and as a result the Pajero collided head on with the deceased's car.

The Secondary school teacher is in police custody and police are awaiting the post mortem report after which charges if any will be laid.
