The average annual rate of inflation for the twelve months to October this year stands at 1.1%.

This has been confirmed by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics.

The price changes between September and October this year indicate a 1.5% increase in the price of meat, fish, seafood, oils, vegetables and non-alcoholic beverages and 0.6% increase in the price beer, wine and yaqona.

There was a 0.9% decrease in the prices of paints, gas, kerosene, fuels and lubricants.

No changes were recorded for clothing, footwear, health, communication, education, restaurants and hotels.
