Annual Street Party to be the biggest yet
Organizer Total Event Company Manager Loretta Jackson said apart from all the special features at the event which includes the amusement rides, food stalls and entertainment, the most exciting part is the countdown to welcome the brand new year.
For those worrying about their safety at the street party, rest assured that you will have the best experience of your life in a safe environment, as the Fiji Police Force reaffirms that they will be out in numbers to ensure a safe farewell for the year.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said their officers from the dog unit, the drug unit, officers in civilian clothing and officers on patrol will all be at the event.
The organizers added there will be new features at the event to cater for everyone.
Another bonus for the event is that, many relatives and friends overseas will also join Fiji in the countdown to the New Year as the event will be streamed live around the world on our website Fijivillage.com using state of the art cameras.
And with the event held at Albert Park, the organizers say this will allow families to bring their mats and picnic sets down and countdown into the New Year with tens of thousands of people.
Also, transport will be provided on the night as taxi and bus services will be running as normal after midnight.
The Legend Fm Annual Fiji Street Party with Digicel will be held tonight from 7 o'clock at Albert Park.
