The annoyance charge laid against academic and Media Industry Development Authority chairman Ashwin Raj has been dropped due to insufficient evidence.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions said this matter was referred to the DPP after representations for a review of the case were received by the DPP last week.
Following a review of the case, the DPP concluded there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the matter.
The charge was withdrawn by way of a nolle prosequi when the matter was called in court last Friday.
