Major announcements are expected to be made tomorrow following a special sitting of the Interim Cabinet to discuss the outcome of the review of the operations and administration of the Great Council of Chiefs.
Village news has received confirmation that following the cabinet sitting tomorrow, invitations will be called for nominations for members to the GCC and the dates for the next sitting of the Chiefly body is expected to be announced.
It is also expected that the Fijian Affairs Ministry will ensure that high on the agenda is the appointment of a Vice President to ensure that the commitment given to the EU to appoint a VP by December is fulfilled.
Interim Fijian Affairs Minister Ratu Epeli Ganilau when contacted by Village News confirmed that all will be revealed at a press conference following the cabinet meeting tomorrow.
