Ousted PM Laisenia Qarase
Ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has called on the interim government to properly analyse all conditions set out by the Chinese government before seeking financial assistance from the Asian country.
Qarase said when the Chinese Premier visited Fiji last year, he had offered to give a loan to the government.
However, he reveals that many terms and conditions were attached with the proposed loan arrangement.
But when Village News questioned Qarase why he did not reveal this information last year and to state the specific conditions that were proposed by China, he said that he cannot remember the actual terms and conditions.
