More than 300 people in Fiji get their legs amputated each year due to Diabetes.

The revelation comes a day ahead of the World Diabetes day which will be celebrated tomorrow.

National Advisor on the Non-Communicable Diseases, Doctor Isimeli Tukana said some people in their 40's also have leg amputation because of high level of Diabetes.

He also said that it’s expensive to have an artificial leg.
