1,870 passports have been issued up until this morning.
Director of Immigration Major Nemani Vuniwaqa said passport issuance has been on schedule.
Vuniwaqa is reminding people to come on their schedule collection day and no earlier as passports will not be given.
People who have applied in the third week of January can collect their passport from today and on Saturday people who applied in the last week of January can go to Department of Immigration.
If your passport collection date has passed, Vuniwaqa said you can have it collected anytime.
If you need an urgent passport that is issued on the same day, you will need to pay $190.
