An Indian National who has been charged with eight counts of allegedly trafficking persons along with three locals was today granted bail by the Suva Magistrate Court.

Sridha Nimmagadda who had appeared in court last month was remanded in immigration custody a day after he was released on bail however his lawyer had filed a "Haebias Corpus", an application for unlawful detention last week.

Nimmagadda was today granted $1000 bail by Suva Magistrate Eparama Rokoika with assurity and has been ordered to report to Nausori Police Station three times a week, not to interfere with immigration officers and to stay with the assurity.

The case has been adjourned till Monday next week.

Nimmagadda along with three local businessmen are allegedly involved in the human trafficking scheme which resulted in the arrest of 13 Indian nationals.
