Two men charged with murder and one charged with assault, causing bodily harm, in relation to a 27 year old Nadi villager were today further remanded in custody by the Nadi Magistrate’s Court.
21 year old Jamie Vueti is charged with one count of assault while 19 year old Sosiceni Vatunicu and a 16 year old are charged with murder and they appeared before Magistrate Saimoni Naivalu who ordered them to seek the assistance of legal aid and adjourned the case till tomorrow.
No plea was taken.
It is alleged that the three assaulted a 27 year old Nadi villager and threw him into the Nadi river on Saturday morning.
