The trial of Sheik Mohammed started in the Labasa High court this morning whose driver was allegedly caught with over $100,000 worth of marijuana leaves in Seaqaqa last year.

Mohammed who is charged with one count of being in possession with dangerous drugs had pleaded not guilty to his charge earlier in the Magistrate court.

The trial is expected to continue till next week whereby Police officers who had allegedly confiscated marijuana leaves will appear as witnesses before Justice Daniel Goundar.

The alleged incident happened on the 6th of June last year, where a team of Police Officers stopped a truck in Seaqaqa and upon search they discovered over $100,000 of marijuana leaves in a special built compartment under the tray of the truck.
