A 42 year old man is expected to appear in court this hour charged with three counts of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs and money laundering.
Officer-In-Charge Drugs, Inspector Rajeshni Mala said he was charged in the last hour.
The 42 year old man of Nadawa was arrested yesterday afternoon and police were able to confiscate more than $47,000 cash from under his bed together with parcels of dried leaves.
Police believe the money was from the sale of marijuana during the Christmas weekend.
He was under surveillance for some months.
