The investigation into the alleged abduction and death of 32 year old Sukul Deo has taken a new twist as Police are now questioning two suspects in what they believe is a hit-and-run accident.

Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Arthur White confirmed to Fijivillage News this afternoon that the two were arrested last night from Nakasi and one of the suspects is believed to be the driver of the vehicle, which was seen by some residents.

The 2 men are still being interrogated at the Nausori Police Station and ASP White said they are suspecting that these two were involved in allegedly abducting the deceased from his house in Manoca, Nausori on Saturday and later he was found dead in Vishunu Deo Road Nakasi.

A post mortem has been conducted however Police are not revealing any details at the moment as investigation continue.

The deceased was at home with his family celebrating Diwali, when a group of youths entered his house and allegedly abducted him.

They then forcefully took him away in a van.

His family lodged a report with Nausori Police station soon after the incident, however after some time, they received a call from police to come and identify his body which was found in Vishnu Deo road Nakasi at around 7.30pm.
