A 24 year old farmer of Namosi charged with the alleged rape of a 7 year old girl of Navua has been further remanded in custody.
No plea was taken when Eliki Turaganaborisi appeared before Magistrate John Semisi this morning.
Magistrate Semisi has referred the case to the Navua Magistrates Court which will be called on the 17th of this month.
Turaganaborisi is charged with one count each of rape, abduction of a girl with intent to rape and housebreaking.
It is alleged the 7 year old girl was sleeping with her 2 younger brothers and her elder sister when the man walked into the house, carried her 200 metres from the house and raped her.
