A 40 year old man charged with three counts of rape appeared before Magistrate Nazim Sahu Khan in the Nadi Magistrates Court this afternoon.
It is alleged that David Shiu Ratnam lured a 15 year old girl to his house and raped her on several occasions between September and October this year.
Ratnam pleaded not guilty to his charges and was released on strict bail condition on a sum of $2000 with assurity.
Magistrate Sahu Khan ordered him to stay in Suva until his case ends and that he is to report to Samabula Police Station on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
He has been ordered not to interfere with the victim.
He is expected to appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court on 25th November.
