Alleged Plotters To Know Fate Soon
DPP Lawyers told High Court Judge Justice Daniel Gounder today that two senior lawyers are currently going through the charges and will decide next week whether the charges will be withdrawn.
Lawyers representing the nine accused Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Jone Baledrokadroka, Feoko Gadekibau, Barbadoes Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eperama Waqatairewa, Kamanieli Vosavere and Pauliasi Namulo highlighted serious concerns and told the court that a decision should have been made today.
Justice Gounder told DPP lawyers to take their next step soon, as the accused are paying their lawyers a huge sum of money, every time the case is called.
Justice Gounder also suspended the current bail conditions imposed on all the nine accused till 22nd of this month when the matter will be called in court for mention.
Judge Gounder overruled the objection by state lawyers not to suspend bail conditions.
