Nine of the ten accused in the alleged assassination plot against the Interim PM and others, Jone Baledrokadroka, Feoko Gadekibau, Barbados Mills, Sivanialo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eparama Waqaitairewa, Kaminieli Vosavere, Pauliasi Namulo and Ballu Khan, today pleaded not guilty to five counts of conspiracy to murder while Ratu Inoke Takiveikata was absent due to illness.

Also the lawyers for the 10 accused sought a variation of bail conditions from the High Court.

Lawyers Penina Salele, Davinesh Sharma, Akuila Naco, Tevita Fa and Graham Leung, all sought the uplifting of the night curfew for their clients and the removal of the prohibition order which prevents them from interacting with each other.

The defense lawyers asked for the variations as their clients had all complied with the bail conditions until now.

The state objected saying a motion would have to be filed requesting the variations.

The case was heard before Justice Daniel Gounder. He adjourned the case to the 11th of April and will make a decision on the variations then.
