Police in Rakiraki are still questioning a 32-year-old man in relation to the alleged murder of his girlfriend whose body was found inside a fertilizer sack in Ra a few weeks ago.
Divisional Crime Officer Western, SP Vijay Singh has confirmed that the suspect may be charged later today.
He has also confirmed they are working around the clock to determine the motive behind the brutal killing.
The suspect was arrested by the Strike Back team from Lautoka in Keyasi yesterday morning.
The victim’s torso was found by two women catching crabs.
