Three men appeared in the Suva Magistrates court this afternoon for allegedly assaulting referee Dhiren Kewal during the semifinal match in the FMF Blue Gas Battle of the Giants Soccer tournament yesterday.
The two Suva reps Yogesh Narayan, Sedrick Dutt and Suva Soccer Official Riyaz Hussein are charged with assaulting Kewal after their match against Labasa yesterday which Suva lost 3-2.
Magistrate Aminiasi Katonivualiku said the case is a reconcilable one and the onus is on the three to reconcile with the victim before they appear in court again on the 20th of August. The three have been released on bail.
