Ten people charged for their involvement in an alleged assassination plot against the interim Prime Minister and others appeared in the Suva Supreme Court this morning.

The ten accused lawyers made an application for a stay order on proceedings as they believe that there was abuse of process with regards to the evidence given by witnesses.

Those that were charged for their involvement in the murder plot are Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Jone Baleidrokadroka, Feoko Gadekibua, Barbados Mills, Sivaniolo Naulago, Metuisela Mua, Eparama Waqatairewa, Kamanieli Vosavere, Pauliasi Namulo and Ballu Khan.

The DPP has been given the time to respond to this.

Judge Justice Daniel Goundar has also transferred the case to another Judge and the matter has been adjourned till 11th July.
